Hi, I'm Rachel — a Product & Visual Designer and artist based in New York, with a background in graphic design, motion graphics, and illustration.

Over the years, I've explored quite a few different corners of technology — from making AR feel playful and accessible at Google Creative Lab, to designing for privacy and safety, and turning brand personalities into creative systems for YouTube.

Now at Google Workspace, I'm working on making data-heavy products like Sheets more intuitive and expressive, including developing system instructions that help AI translate data into meaningful visuals. Pottery studio

These days, I'm trying to spend more time away from screens, making things with my hands at a pottery studio

. But my favorite daily ritual is much simpler: looking up at the sky and the tree.

Like many of us, I often wonder what the next few years will look like, especially in a world that's changing so quickly. But I believe the fundamentals of good design will remain the same: visual sensitivity, curiosity about how people see Pottery studio

and experience the world, and the ability to turn those observations into experiences that make their everyday lives a little better.

New York is the third place I've called home, after growing up in Japan Pottery studio

and Korea

. With parents from different countries, I've spent much of my life navigating different cultures and finding my place in them. Those experiences taught me to adapt, stay curious, and appreciate the many ways people see the world.

There's still so much to discover, so much to make, and always another reason to look up from my screen
